Teen starts Boardman house fire

BOARDMAN — A home at 5133 South Ave. sustained $35,000 damage after a fire was started about 10:30 p.m. Monday by 13-year-old playing with a lighter, firefighters said.

The teenager set some papers on fire and then the blaze spread to a mattress. The fire was contained to the second floor.
