Man shot in leg on West Side

YOUNGSTOWN — Robert Thurston Jr., 26, was shot in the leg as he walked along Salt Springs Road near Division Street. He was treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Thurston told police he was walking about 5 p.m. today when he heard five or six gunshots and then noticed he was shot. A relative took him to the hospital. Police reports didn’t list an address for Thurston.
