Gasoline prices average $3.07 per gallon in Ohio

COLUMBUS (AP) — Ohio motorists are paying an average of more than $3 a gallon for gasoline as 2007 draws to a close.

The Daily Fuel Gauge Report from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service puts the statewide average for regular at about $3.07 a gallon.

That’s close to 8 cents more than two weeks ago, and it’s 78 cents above the average price paid last New Year’s Eve.

The year that’s ending is one that saw gasoline reach a record in Ohio of $3.40, on average, during the Memorial Day weekend.
