Thursday’s games

Nets 120, Bucks 106

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — It didn’t take Devin Harris long to make the New Jersey Nets and their fans forget about Jason Kidd. Stepping on the court for the first time since being acquired last week in an eight-player trade for Kidd, Harris scored 16 of his 21 points in a spectacular game-changing early spurt that carried New Jersey to victory. Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson added 19 points apiece and Bostjan Nachbar scored all 13 of his points in the fourth quarter to help New Jersey beat the Bucks for the third straight time this season.

Spurs 97, Mavericks 94

SAN ANTONIO — Tim Duncan had 31 points and 15 rebounds and the San Antonio Spurs beat the Dallas Mavericks for their seventh straight win. Manu Ginobili added 17 points for San Antonio and Michael Finley scored 16. Dirk Nowitzki scored 28 points for the Mavericks and Josh Howard and reserve Brandon Bass each added 16. The Mavericks are 3-2 with new addition Jason Kidd, who had 10 assists Thursday and scored seven points. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Dallas, which is in a tight race with the Spurs and two other teams for Southwest Division lead.
