Jeff Wilkins announces retirement

Jeff Wilkins, the St. Louis Rams’ career leading scorer and the best active long-range kicker in the NFL, announced his retirement on Friday after 14 seasons.

Wilkins is a native of Austintown and a graduate of Youngstown State University. He holds the YSU school record for career points by a kicker (373), point-after kicks attempted (177) and made (173), and field goals attempted (98) and made (66).
