Man pulled from icy water

YOUNGSTOWN — A man was found in an icy stream near Lanterman’s Falls in Mill Creek Park early today, police said. The man was pulled from the water by park police around 1 a.m. and then taken up a steep bank by firefighters. Firefighters covered the victim with a fire coat, checked for vital signs and started CPR but got no response. An ambulance crew took over and transported the man to St. Elizabeth Health Center. The man’s identity and condition were not immediately available.
