Two candidates are running for Trumbull County coroner in the March 4 Democratic primary race. No Republicans are seeking the office. If there is no write-in or independent candidate in the November general election, one of the two Democrats will become coroner after the first of the year. One of them, Gary L. Kraker, did not respond to The Vindicator questionnaire on which this listing is based.

Priority: Saving taxpayer money by combining the positions of coroner and forensic pathologist and studying the cause and manner of deaths to better allocate resource toward prevention.
