WARREN — The meeting of Packard Electric and Delphi Packard Union Local 717 Retirees, scheduled for 10:30 this morning at the Local 717 Union Hall in Warren Commerce Park, has been canceled because of inclement weather.

Dinner will honor Lyder, who retired from YMCA

YOUNGSTOWN — A testimonial dinner will be held at 6 p.m. March 5 in the Youngstown downtown YMCA Community Gym for William L. Lyder, Camp Fitch director, who retired Jan. 20. He had served for 42 years. Tickets cost $15 and are available at the downtown Y. For more information, call (330) 744-8411

Dinner, book fair planned

BOARDMANSEmD—¬≠—¬≠¬≠Boardman United Methodist Church Preschool and Childcare, 6809 Market St., will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. March 6. Dinners will be $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children, and carryouts will be available. Also featured at the event will be a scholastic book fair and a silent auction for gift baskets.

Chinese auction set at Campbell church

CAMPBELL — St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 159 Reed Ave., will hold its annual Chinese auction Sunday. Doors open at 1 p.m., and the auction begins at 3. Donation is $5. A light lunch will be available.

Raffle and auction at St. Joseph School

AUSTINTOWN — St. Joseph Home and School Association will hold a basket raffle and Chinese auction Sunday at the social hall 4546 New Road. Doors will open at 9 a.m., and drawings will begin at 2 p.m.

Tickets for the event are $5 for a sheet of 25 and one ticket for the door prize. Raffled will be more than 150 baskets and gift certificates, and there will also be lottery and a bike raffles. Patrons do not have to be present to win. Refreshments will be available.
