Women’s basketball Round-up for Monday’s games

Indiana 69, No. 18 Ohio State 61, OT

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Jamie Braun scored 19 points, including two clinching free throws with 39 seconds left in overtime, to help Indiana beat Ohio State. The Hoosiers (16-12, 9-7 Big Ten) snapped an eight-game losing streak to the Buckeyes (20-7, 11-5) and avenged a 71-59 loss at Columbus last month, when Braun scored a season-high 25 points. This time, Indiana had a huge advantage in free throws but couldn’t put Ohio State away in regulation. Two foul shots by Kim Roberson gave Indiana a 54-52 lead in the final minute of regulation, but a layup by Jantel Lavender with 29 seconds to go tied the game and sent it to overtime. Tamarah Riley led Ohio State with 15 points and 16 rebounds.

No. 1 Connecticut 74, No. 6 LSU 69

BATON ROUGE, La. — Maya Moore scored 18 of her 29 points in the second half as Connecticut snapped LSU’s 14-game winning streak. Tina Charles added 18. Sylvia Fowles scored 26 points for the Lady Tigers, and Quianna Chaney finished with 22.
