Valuable dog stolen on Katherine Avenue

YOUNGSTOWN — A black and white Akita the owner said is worth $1,500 was taken from the 900 block of Katherine Avenue by someone who may be familiar with the dog. The owner told police she found the dog missing about 7:30 p.m. Monday when she went to bring the animal into the house from a chain near the garage.
