YOUNGSTOWN — Oliver Montgomery Chapter 27-16 of S.O.A.R. will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McGuffey Centre, 1649 Jacobs Road. Inactive and new members are welcome.

K. of C. to hold annual father-son breakfast

COLUMBIANA — St. Jude Council Knights of Columbus will hold an annual father-son breakfast Sunday at the church activity center after the 9 a.m. Mass. Speaking about ways to make men out of boys and about teamwork will be P.J. Fecko, coach at Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown.

All grandfathers, fathers, sons, uncles and nephews are invited, and no affiliation with St. Jude Church is required. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children 4 to 12 and free for those 3 and under. Tickets will be available after all Masses or may be purchased by calling the church office, (330) 482-2351, Paul Rance at (330) 482-3125, Charlie Troll at (330) 549-9522, or any member of the council. The Ladies Guild of the church will serve the breakfast.

AARN charity auction, dinner at Mr. Anthony’s

YOUNGSTOWN ¬≠ — The Alzheimer’s Assistance and Referral Network will present “Valley Memories,” its annual charity auction and dinner, on March 8 at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman. Proceeds from the event will benefit the organization’s support efforts.

Hors d’oeuvres will be available at 6 p.m., and a buffet dinner will follow at 7. Musical entertainment will be by Take 1. Individual ticket prices start at $40, and tables for eight are available for $290. Seating is limited.
