Salvatore Auriemma of Murray Hill Drive pleaded to the reduced charge before Judge John M. Stuard of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court. He was indicted on a charge of rape, which would have carried a sentence of life in prison. He faces probation to a five-year jail term on the reduced charge. Diane Barber, an assistant county prosecutor, said Auriemma was the husband of the child’s baby sitter when he touched her genitalia Jan. 9, 2006, while in his home.
