NBA Round-up for Sunday’s other games

Rockets 110, Bulls 97

HOUSTON — Tracy McGrady had 24 points and eight assists and Houston extended its winning streak to 12 games. The Rockets have won 16 of their last 17, and their current streak is their longest since their championship season of 1993-94. They were ahead by seven early in the fourth quarter before Bobby Jackson scored five straight points for Houston, capped by a nifty off-balance layup and the free throw that followed to make it 84-74. The Rockets cruised from there. It was Jackson’s debut for Houston after he was traded from New Orleans on Thursday. Tyrus Thomas led the Bulls with 18 points, and Kirk Hinrich had 10 points and 10 assists.

Pistons 116, Suns 86

PHOENIX — Rasheed Wallace scored 22 points in 26 minutes to lead six Detroit players in double figures. Richard Hamilton had 18 points and Chauncey Billups 14 points and 11 assists, and Antonio McDyess 12 points and 13 rebounds. Jarvis Hayes added a season-high 18 as Detroit easily ended the Suns’ 11-game winning streak against the Eastern Conference. Amare Stoudemire scored 31 for Phoenix.

Celtics 112, Trail Blazers 102

PORTLAND, Ore. — Paul Pierce scored 30 points and Boston rebounded from a slow start to snap a three-game losing streak. The Celtics trailed by as many as 17 points in the first half, but gained control in the second when the Blazers struggled without guard Brandon Roy. Roy, an All-Star reserve and last season’s Rookie of the Year, left for the locker room in the third quarter. The team said he had aggravated a right ankle sprain. Travis Outlaw led the Blazers with 24 points. Roy had nine points before he left the game.

Magic 112, Kings 93

ORLANDO, Fla. — Dwight Howard had 26 points and 10 rebounds, and Orlando got a huge fourth-quarter effort from its bench. Brian Cook and Keyon Dooling combined for 20 points in a 22-8 run to start the final period, which Orlando entered ahead 74-68. Ron Artest led Sacramento with 23 points — seven in the fourth quarter — and Brad Miller scored 17.

Raptors 115, Knicks 92

TORONTO — Andrea Bargnani had 25 points and Chris Bosh added 17 as Toronto Raptors rebounded from a loss to New York on Friday. Anthony Parker added 16 points and T.J. Ford came off the bench to score 15 for Toronto. Jamal Crawford, who scored 43 points Friday, finished with 26 in this one, including 16 in the first half. Nate Robinson added 20 for New York, which has lost 11 of 14.

Mavericks 99, Timberwolves 83

MINNEAPOLIS — Jason Kidd tied his season high with 17 assists in his third game with Dallas and Dirk Nowitzki scored 29 points to lead the Mavericks. Jason Terry added 20 points and Josh Howard 14 as the Mavericks sent the last-place Timberwolves to their seventh loss in eight games. Al Jefferson led Minnesota with 22 points, while Rashad McCants had 17.
