McDonald beats Springfield, 69-49

Adam Streb scored 24 points and Lance Ronghi added 22, leading McDonald’s boys basketball team over Springfield, 69-49, in the semifinals of the Division IV district tournament at Struthers Fieldhouse Monday.

The Blue Devils (18-4) advanced to the championship game Friday against the winner of tonight’s Columbiana-Lake Center Christian semifinal. Friday’s game begins at 7 p.m.

Springfield finished its season with a 14-9 record.
