HOWLAND — Bel Duetto, a musical duo featuring former Miss Ohio Amanda Beagle and her husband, Craig Raymaley, will perform a cabaret show at Leo’s Ristorante at 6:30 p.m. March 8.
In their act, the newlyweds take a lighthearted musical look at love, romance, passion ... and joint checking accounts, bills, and a spirited discussion about who gets to do the dishes.

‘Forever Plaid’ to open
at New Castle Playhouse
NEW CASTLE, Pa. — The musical “Forever Plaid” will open Friday at New Castle Playhouse, 202 E. Long Ave. Caryn Nicholson of New Castle will direct the musical, which will run for nine performances, weekends through March 16. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday performances are at 2 p.m. Opening night will feature a wine and cheese party for ticket holders beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Annex Theatre, with the NCP Mini Stars performing. Trumbull New Theatre offers ‘Love Letters’
NILES — “Love Letters” opens Friday at Trumbull New Theatre for a three-weekend run. The play centers on two characters who read the letters that they are writing to each other. “Love Letters” is replacing “A Raisin In the Sun” on the TNT schedule. “Raisin” had to be dropped because of casting problems. Curtain times for “Love Letters” are 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. For tickets, call (330) 652-1103.
Repertory Strings
concert at Mount Union
ALLIANCE — The Mount Union College Repertory Strings will perform in concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Presser Recital Hall. The Repertory Strings is under the direction of Elaine Anderson, associate professor of music. Founded by Anderson in 1998, the Repertory Strings is a small chamber orchestra made up of Mount Union students, string faculty, advanced high school players and invited community members. Art Youngstown plans
second exhibition
YOUNGSTOWN — Art Youngstown, a new organization devoted to providing gallery space for local artists, will hold its second exhibition March 17-20 at 25 E. Boardman St., Downtown, in the Great Room. Hourse are 5-8:30 p.m.
An opening reception will begin at 7 p.m. March 14. Admission is free.
An evening of films produced by local filmmakers will be presented from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. March 21.
Artists 18 and older can deliver their paintings, sculptures, films and other art between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. March 1 and between noon and 4 p.m. March 2. Artists can only present items that will be offered for sale, and cannot include items previously shown by Art Youngstown.
