The Vindicator’s Religion page will run a listing of area services that are open to the public in observance of Palm Sunday, March 16; Holy Thursday, March 20; Good Friday, March 21; Holy Saturday, March 22; and Easter, March 23. The deadline to submit information is 5 p.m. March 12. Publication will be March 15.
Information should include the denomination and name of the church, address, city or suburb, the day, time, type of service, your name and a phone number for verification.

Other information on Orthodox Lenten programs also should be submitted. The deadline to submit information is 5 p.m. March 5. The list will be published March 8.
Orthodox Holy Week is April 19-27. The deadline to submit information is 5 p.m. April 9. Information will be published April 12.

Jeremiah People show
AUSTINTOWN — Jeremiah People uses music, drama and theater to challenge its audience while the group ministers to the soul. The group will perform at 7 p.m. March 3 at Bethel Assembly of God, 3807 Mahoning Ave. The event is free, but an offering will be received.
Jeremiah People will present “Family Snaps,” about the Bailey family. The production is a poignant dramatic comedy about family relationships and friends.
Mission trip
CANFIELD — An informational meeting is planned at 3 p.m. Sunday at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road (Route 62) for anyone interested in participating in a volunteer-in-mission trip, “To Russia with Love.” The group will go to the Renewal Orphanage in Dmitrov, Russia, from Dec. 29 to Jan. 12, 2009.

Lenten program
MCDONALD — The Rev. James Walker will present “A Lenten Spiritual Journey with David: A Man After God’s Own Heart/A Key to Heartfelt Renewal” from 7 to 8 p.m. March 2-4 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 618 Ohio Ave. A social time will follow.
Father Walker, pastor of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church in Warren, will reflect on King David, who was called by God and is a model for Christian discipleship.
Pastor anniversary
YOUNGSTOWN — Phillips Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 1407 Victor Ave., will mark the fifth anniversary of Pastor Larry Alexander during a celebration at 4 p.m. March 9. Guest speaker will be Pastor Steve Conley of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Bastrop, La. The anniversary committee is compiling a souvenir booklet, and the deadline for ads and patrons is Sunday.
Special program
YOUNGSTOWN — Metropolitan Baptist Church, 351 W. Rayen Ave., will present a black history program with religious segments, “Freedom Train,” at 3 p.m. Sunday. The program is free.
At Lifecare Ministry
CANFIELD — Lifecare Ministry Center, Lucille Orr Ministries Inc., 5357 S. Raccoon Road, will hold a healing clinic and healing class from 10 a.m. to noon today. The sessions are scheduled the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.
Maryellen DiPaola will lead a Bible study, “Forgiveness to Freedom,” at 7 p.m. Thursdays, March 6-April 3.
Orr will speak on “Deep Wounds and Deep Level Healing” at a health workshop March 8 in Akron.
Revival set at church
YOUNGSTOWN — Prophet Brian Carn of Jacksonville, Fla., will speak at a revival at 7 p.m. Friday and March 1 at Bethel Church of God in Christ, 3147 Glenwood Ave.
Meditation and recital
SHARON, Pa. — St. John’s Episcopal Church, 226 W. State St., will present the third of its Lenten meditation and recital services at noon Tuesday with carillon music by Paula Kubik followed by a meditation and recital. Heather Johnson will perform on the French horn.
