Mineral Ridge, Girard bow out

HOWLAND — Mineral Ridge led much of the way, including a 50-48 score with three minutes left, before dropping a 68-56 decision to fourth-seeded Garfield.

Girard stayed within shouting distance of top-seeded Pymatuning Valley for most of the first half of its 65-37 loss.
