Jim Petuch of the Solid Waste Management District’s Green Team will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss recycling, local landfills and the efforts to curb litter in our community.

Next, Jensen Hykes and Jena Styka of Girl Scout Troop No. 363 will discuss their recycling initiative for the community, the Nike Reuse-A-Shoe Program. The Scouts are collecting old tennis shoes to be recycled and used to create new products such as sport surfaces for basketball and tennis courts, soccer fields, running tracks and playgrounds.

“Sunday Morning With Dee” (8 a.m. Sunday, WKBN-TV 27): In Youngstown, jobs traditionally held by women and minorities receive lower pay than in other Ohio metropolitan areas, according to the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics. Clyde Holmes, employer service specialist, will join host Dee Crawford.
