Howland girls advance to regional

SOLON — Alexa Williams finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals to lead Howland past Shaker Heights, 50-38, in the final of the girls Division I district basketball tournament at Solon High School Saturday. The Tigers will play either Mayfield or Mentor Tuesday at 8 p.m. in a regional semifinal at the Canton Civic Center.
