Marscilla Packer added 12 points for the Buckeyes (20-6, 11-4). Kristi Smith had 17 points, Wendy Ausdemore 13 and Johanna Solverson 10 for Iowa (18-9, 11-5), which had won nine of its past 10.

No. 2 North Carolina 79, Miami 61

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Erlana Larkins scored 18 points to lead North Carolina over Miami. Rashanda McCants finished with 17 points and Rebecca Gray scored 15 points as the Tar Heels wore down the Hurricanes with two first-half runs. North Carolina (25-2, 12-0) has won eight straight and 16 of its past 17. Maurita Reid scored 18 points to lead Miami (9-17, 2-9).

No. 3 Tennessee 85, Alabama 58

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — On the day she announced that she’s leaving for the WNBA draft and Olympic play after the season, Candace Parker scored 19 points. The Lady Vols (24-2, 10-1 Southeastern Conference) opened fast and had a 21-point lead, 31-10 with 8:41 left in the first half. Then the Crimson Tide (8-19, 1-11 SEC) went on a 17-7 run — with Parker and other Tennessee starters on the bench — to cut Tennessee’s lead to 11 points on a layup by Tierney Jenkins with 4:21 to go. Then Tennessee sent the starters back in and led by 20 at 49-29 going into the half.

No. 6 LSU 52, Kentucky 48

BATON ROUGE, La. — Sylvia Fowles had 14 points and 10 rebounds to help LSU extend its winning streak to 14 games. Erica White scored 13 points, the last of them on a crucial fast-break layup after she had stolen the ball with the game tied at 48. LSU (23-3, 12-0 Southeastern Conference) hasn’t lost to Kentucky (13-13, 7-5) since 1995, but the Lady Tigers’ 13th straight victory over the Wildcats was a struggle in the final minutes.

No. 10 Old Dominion 87, VCU 67

RICHMOND, Va. — Jasmine Parker scored 16 points and Old Dominion stayed on track for its first perfect season in the Colonial Athletic Association in seven years. The Lady Monarchs (23-3, 14-0 CAA), seeking their 17th consecutive league title and first unbeaten season in the CAA since 2001-02, dominated by pounding the ball inside, scoring 40 points in the paint, and adding eight 3-pointers. The Rams (19-6, 9-5) were within 10 at halftime, but could do little to stop the Lady Monarchs once they turned their attention inside.

No. 25 Vanderbilt 60, Arkansas 53

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Jessica Mooney scored 14 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead Vanderbilt over Arkansas. Despite 18 turnovers, the Commodores (20-7, 9-3 Southeastern Conference) shot 8-for-12 on 3-pointers to maintain their lead and ultimately pull away late. The loss for Arkansas (19-9, 2-9) was its fifth straight since beating Mississippi State on Jan. 27.

MEN

No. 10 Xavier 75, Duquesne 48

CINCINNATI — Derrick Brown and C.J. Anderson had double-doubles in a balanced offense that hardly missed injured point guard Drew Lavender as Xavier rolled to its ninth straight win.

No. 21 Notre Dame 82, Pittsburgh 70

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Luke Harangody had 23 points and 12 rebounds, Tory Jackson added 16 points and 13 rebounds and Notre Dame overcame an 11-point deficit in the second half to beat Pittsburgh.
