Ford shows off new technology in Cleveland

Ford has a huge display its biggest ever at the Cleveland Auto Show.

The automaker has plenty to show because of its new products, John Felice, Ford general manager, told media and car dealers this morning at the show. Seventy percent of Ford's product line has either been introduced or received major upgrades in the past two years, he said.

One of the new models at Ford's display is the 2009 Ford Flex, a boxy, mid-size crossover vehicle. It has a sunroof for all six passengers and a small refrigerator in the back. It will be available later this year.

Another is the 2009 Lincoln MKS, a new entrant into the luxury segment. Lincoln showcased the car's technology, which includes rear-view cameras, adaptive cruise control and an advanced communications systems, which provides traffic and weather reports, movie times, sports scores and prices at nearby gas stations.
