Thunder signs two linemen

The af2 Office assigned two linemen to the Mahoning Valley Thunder Wednesday, Josh Tanner (6-foot-2, 305 pounds) and Johnathan Harper (6-4, 315). Both players are af2 rookies.

Tanner, of Orlando, Fla., was a four-year letterman at Youngstown State. He played in 37 games with the Penguins and started 32, helping YSU to consecutive Gateway championships in 2005-06.

Harper, of Lakeland, Fla., played at Murray State.
