State awards four anti-litter grants


COLUMBUS — The Ohio Division of Recycling and Litter Prevention, through the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources awarded the following grants: Boardman Township, $2,242 for a one-day cleanup campaign; Village of Craig Beach, $2,500 for cleanup on streets and at Lake Milton State Park; and Mahoning County Sanitary Waste District, $2,500 for countywide cleanup in 14 townships, four cities and a park.

The grants are designed to encourage community participation in April’s “Keep Ohio Beautiful Month” campaign. Volunteers will focus their cleanup efforts in April and May through this program.
