Club South health club forced to close by building owner

BOARDMAN — The bar is the only thing still open at the Club South health club on Tiffany Boulevard.

The owner of the building in which the club is located got a court order closing the gym Tuesday, according to the owner of Tiffany’s bar, Mike Fabek.

Members were pulling up to the gym this morning. Some were wondering whether they would get reimbursed for memberships.

A sign posted inside the club says its owners hope to reopen in a month on South Avenue.

Neither Lance Owens, the owner of the club, nor John Giannios, the owner of the building, could be reached to comment.
