On-line school to hold virtual information session

YOUNGSTOWN — Ohio Connections Academy, an online charter school, will hold a virtual information session for the 2008-09 at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Parents can log onto the school’s Website to learn about the tuition-free public school. The session will include a presentation of how the school’s program works, a question and answer session and a technology demonstration. Pre-registration is required and can be done on OCA’s Web site at www.ConnectionsAcademy.com. The school loans each family a computer, reimburses them for an Internet connection and provides all curriculum materials. OCA also supplies all of the necessary software and free technical support to ensure the computer is working properly. Each student is assigned a professional, Ohio-certified teacher to oversee learning and assess student progress.
