YOUNGSTOWN — Hillary Rodham Clinton fired up the Youngstown crowd with talk about “getting America back into the solutions business.”

She took the podium at Chaney High School at 9:30 p.m., thanking loads of local legislators and leaders.

She had likely just learned she’d lost the Wisconsin Democratic primary to Barack Obama.

“If we pull together I know we can do this,” she said.

People need a president who will be “ready on Day One” to be commander in chief. She won’t need on the job training, she said.

“This is the choice we face. One of us is ready to be commander in chief in a dangerous world,” she said. “I am ready to end this war in Iraq, end this era of cowboy diplomacy.”

She said she’d start bringing troops home within 60 days.

She also pledged health care coverage for all, and a plan to address the foreclosure crisis. She also pledged new, clean energy jobs, “and we can do this right here in Youngstown” to put people to work.

“I’m gonna deliver 21st century solutions that will move our country forward again,” she said.
