Two injured in car crash near Ellwood City, Pa.


ELLWOOD CITY, PA. — Two people were severely injured in a head-on crash on Wurtemburg Road near Ellwood City, Pennsylvania State Police in New Castle reported.

Spring Heather Brunswick, 23, of South Ray Street in New Castle and her passenger, Michael E. Kosciuszko of Golf Avenue in Ellwood, were flown to University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh after the accident at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

Brunswick was in critical condition Monday, the hospital said. The hospital did not have any information on Kosciuszko.

Brunswick was driving south on the road in the northbound lane, police said. She struck a car driven by Kristen L. Bubb of Bubb Lane in Ellwood. Bubb and her passenger, Daniel Bubb, had minor injuries, police said.
