O’Charley’s restaurant
to open in Boardman

BOARDMAN — Covelli Enterprises will open its O’Charley’s restaurant at 930 Windham Court at 11 a.m. Thursday. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Warren-based based Covelli previously opened O’Charley’s restaurants in Niles and Erie, Pa.

“With the overwhelming success of our location in Niles, it was an easy choice to open another O’Charley’s in the Valley,” said Sam Covelli, company owner. He also is a Panera Bread franchisee.

O’Charley’s is a casual dining chain that is based in Tennessee and has 230 locations in the Southwest and Midwest. Dave Hammar, a 15-year veteran of the industry, is the general manager of the Boardman restaurant. It will employ more than 130.

Fund-raising professionals
plan luncheon program

BOARDMAN — The Mahoning/Shenango Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals will host a luncheon program at 11 a.m. March 6 at the Holiday Inn in Boardman. An educational program will be presented by Gayle Tissue, executive director of clinical development for the Pittsburgh Medical and Health Sciences Foundation of UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh, and Sally Golden, an independent consultant.
