Obama visits RMI, says he’ll fight to keep jobs in U.S.
NILES — Sen. Barack Obama kicked off his Ohio campaign today at RMI Titanium Co. in Weathersfield township by promising to fight companies who move jobs overseas.
“It’s bad for our country, it’s bad for the economy, and it will not happen when I’m President of the United States of America,” Obama said.
Obama toured the titanium mill before holding a news conference with local and national media.
Obama highlighted his jobs plan in which he calls for creating tax incentives for companies that create jobs in the U. S. and keep headquarters here. He also said he would fight giving tax breaks to companies that move jobs overseas.
