Crowd already on tap for Obama’s YSU appearance

YOUNGSTOWN — It’s just after 1 p.m. and an enthusiastic crowd of well over 1,000 has already taken its seats in Beeghly Center at Youngstown State University, awaiting the arrival of Sen. Barack Obama.

There’s still 45 minutes to go before Obama is scheduled to speak and the crowd is passing the time by keeping time to rock and roll music blasting from the loud speakers and occasionally chanting “What time is it? Obama time.”

As always, there is a multitude of press attending the event, this time including NBC Today Show’s Matt Lauer, an Ohio University grad.
