Suspect in two killings to stand trial
PITTSBURGH (AP) — A suburban Pittsburgh man accused of fatally shooting two Robert Morris University students and critically wounding his girlfriend will stand trial.
Twenty-three-year-old Paul Visnansky, of West View, was held for trial on homicide, aggravated assault and attempted homicide charges at a preliminary hearing Friday.
Authorities say Visnansky killed 22-year-old Jonathan Gilbert of Monaca, and 20-year-old Michael Tatalovich of Aliquippa when he found them in the apartment he shared with 20-year-old Michelle Machusko on Jan. 22.
Machusko remains hospitalized with multiple wounds.
Defense attorney Chuck Lopresti isn’t conceding that Visnansky is responsible but says his family is saddened and offers its prayers.
