Sunday news programs

“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m. Sunday, WFMJ Channel 21; and 7 p.m. Wednesday on Time Warner Cable Channel 15 in Trumbull County): In one year, television as we know it will change. That’s because the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is requiring local broadcast stations to switch to a high-definition television signal. WFMJ’s chief engineer, Bob Flis, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the changes. Flis will provide information on how viewers can obtain coupons to buy digital converter boxes, what cable and satellite customers need to know and other information.

Also, Jennifer Bitterman of Ohio KePro will discuss the rules and regulations for beneficiaries of Medicare regarding free services.
