STRUTHERS — Niko Fatimus, who connected on six 3-point baskets sparked the unbeaten Bulldogs (19-0) with 22 points in the contest played at Struthers High School’s Field house. Poland rushed out to a 34-6 lead in the first quarter and they soared 60-14 by intermission. Ben Donlow added 13 points, while Ben Umbel and Ben Brocker had 10 apiece. Joe Musial, who connected on five 3-pointers, paced Springfield (12-8) with 19 points. Todd Kibby chipped in with 10.

Campbell 57, Howland 56

HOWLAND — Nate Hodge scored 16 points and Antwan Dawson had 14 with 10 rebounds as Campbell held on to win at the wire. Hodge’s free throw gave Campbell a two-point lead down the stretch, and the Red Devils eventually survived when Nathan cope’s 3-point-goal attempt with 1.7 seconds was a little long and rebounded by Dawson to preserve the win. Anthony Moses contributed 10 rebounds and five blocks to aid Campbell (14-7, 8-6 Metro Athletic Conference). Cope scored 22 points, including three 3-point goals, to lead Howland (12-8, 7-7). Jared Kirin added 11 points and Kyle Spence nine along with nine rebounds.

Columbiana 83, Sebring 72

COLUMBIANA — The Clippers (19-1), leading 47-41 at halftime, put the contest away with a 24-8 surge in the third quarter. Andrew Tirpak sparked the Clippers’ balanced scoring attack with 19 points. Josh Weikart netted 13, while Ryan Williams and Kevin Blinsky had 12 apiece. Justin Wadin led the Trojans (12-8) with 22 points. Zach Tieche chipped in with 21 and Devin Weekly finished with 17.

United 73, Minerva 72

HANOVERTON — The Golden Eagles (12-8) outscored the Lions (7-13) 8-7 in the second overtime for the victory. Jimmy Phillis went on a 36-point scoring spree to spark the Golden Eagles. Jeremy Walker added 10. Josh Fick led the Lions with 16 points. Ryker Locke, Troy Summers and Brian Harp each had 13.

LaBrae 48, Newton Falls 46

LEAVITTSBURG — Jacob Jaros made a basket at the buzzer for the Vikings (7-13, 6-8), who handed the Tigers (15-4) their first Trumbull Athletic Conference loss in 13 outings. The Tigers jumped out to a 21-8 lead in the first quarter and they held a 38-36 lead heading into the final eight minutes, then the Vickings rallied 12-8 for the victory. Cameron Truss paced LaBrae’s balanced attack with 13 points. Mike Morris added 12 and Bryan Watkins had 11. Marcus Fowler led the Tigers with 18 points. Jae Leeworthy finished with 10.

Champion 80, Brookfield 34

CHAMPION — Kris Wildman scored 11 points and Markel Vaughn 10 to lead a 14-player scoring barrage for Champion (14-5, 8-5 TAC). Cameron Derr scored 10 points to lead Brookfield (2-18, 0-14).

Girard 58, Lakeview 56, OT

GIRARD — Brett Cubellis’ free throws down the stretch in regulation and overtime enabled Girard to outlast Lakeview. Cubellis made two foul shots to pull Girard into a 51-51 tie in regulation. Then he made two free throws with two seconds left in overtime to push his team ahead, 58-53, to seal the win. Cubellis finished with 15 points and four assists while Adam Charles had 14 points, including three 3-point goals, to lead Girard (6-14, 6-8). Anthony Guerrieri added eight rebounds and five points while Marty Brinker had eight point and three steals and Kevin McGuire four assists. Robert Franks had 15 points, including four 3-point goals while Jon Kittle added 12 points and five assists. Greg McCumber had 12 points and six rebounds to lead Lakeview (12-7, 9-4). Renny Paolone contributed six rebounds.
