Winter Walk event at Boardman park

BOARDMAN — Walkers of all ages can participate in a 1-mile, 3k, or 5k fitness walk and/or run to be held by Easter Seals at 9:30 a.m. March 8 at Boardman Township Park.

Proceeds from the Easter Seals Winter Walk With Me event will provide programs and services to individuals with disabilities and special needs.

Free registration will begin at 9 a.m., and individuals raising $25 or more will receive a T-shirt. Teams and individual walkers are also encouraged to participate in a mini health fair, raffle and refreshments.

The Walk is being sponsored by WKBN First News 27/Fox 62, the Shops at Boardman Park, CVS Caremark, Quixtar and Century 21 Prestige Realty Group.
