Springfield led by Kibby’s 19

BERLIN CENTER — Springfield’s 14-point lead was cut to one but the Tigers pulled away for a 63-56 win over Western Reserve Wednesday night in a non-conference game.

An offensive foul reversed the momentum in Springfield’s favor to end Western Reserve’s comeback.

Sophomores Jake Barker and Nick Timko combined for eight points off the bench in the flurry for the Blue Devils in the non-league game that closed out Reserve’s regular season.

Todd Kibby’s game-high 19 points paced Springfield, whose regular season finale is Friday against Poland at Struthers Fieldhouse.

Reserve’s Division IV tournament opener is against Southern Local Feb. 19, also at Struthers.
