Poll: Clinton leads Obama in Ohio
New York Senator Hillary Clinton holds a 21-point lead over Illinois Senator Barack Obama in Ohio’s presidential primary race, according to a new poll released Thursday.
Sen. Clinton draws support from 55% of likely Democratic voters, while Sen. Obama has the support of 34% of respondents, according to the survey conducted by the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. Ohio is seen as a key state in determining which Democratic candidate will win the party’s nomination.
Looking ahead to the November general election, the survey showed likely Republican nominee John McCain with a slight lead, 44%-43%, over Sen. Clinton, and a 42%-40% lead over Sen. Obama.
