Boardman 69, Can. Timken 22

ALLIANCE — Courtney Schiffauer had 17 points and five rebounds while playing only half of the game, as Boardman put 13 players in the scoring column in a Division I sectional game at Alliance High School. Monica Touvelle added 10 points and Katie Fiffick six steals, five points and three assists for Boardman (14-7), which led 26-2 after the first quarter. Sarah Grafton had nine points for Timken (9-12). Boardman advanced to play Canton GlenOak Saturday at 6 p.m.

Crestview 48, Lisbon 46

MINERAL RIDGE — Chelsea Bowker scored 10 of her 24 points in the fourth quarter, leading Crestview over Lisbon in a Div. III sectional tournament game at Mineral Ridge High School. The Rebels (13-8) had a 35-33 lead heading into the final eight minutes of action and held on for the victory. Bowker, who was 10-of-13 at the free throw line, also connected on two 3-point baskets. Megan Reynolds, Emily Smith and Mindy Jackson led the Blue Devils (16-5) with 13, 12 and 10 points, respectively.

United 56, Newton Falls 43

MINERAL RIDGE — United used a 21-4 first quarter surge, then cruised to the victory over Newton Falls in another Div. III tournament contest. Maggie Sell led the Golden Eagles (15-6) with 18 points and Courtney Baker added 14. Kelsey McGregor led the Tigers (11-10) with 18 points.

Brookfield 61, Cardinal 10

ASHTABULA — Brookfield put 11 players in the scoring column as it posted an easy victory over Cardinal in a Div. III sectional tournament game at Edgewood High School. The Warriors (19-2) rushed out to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter and they put the game out of reach, 38-2, at the intermission. Lauren Gentile paced the Warriors with 12 points. Morgan Bonekovic, who pulled down five of Brookfield’s 21 rebounds, and Kodi Brenner each scored 10 points. Kelly Jones had six assists.
