2 students find woman’s body on campus

CINCINNATI (AP) — A woman was found dead early Wednesday on the University of Cincinnati campus after an apparent accident, authorities said.

The woman wasn’t a student or employee of the university, authorities said. Her name was withheld pending notification of relatives.

UC police and the Hamilton County coroner’s office were investigating.

“It appears accidental,” said police spokesman Lt. Mark Briede.

The woman was spotted lying on a loading dock just before 4 a.m. by two UC students who had been snowboarding in the area, police said.

The woman was dressed for the cold weather in a coat and scarf, and police said it appeared that she had fallen off a Sander Hall walkway railing that is 15 to 20 feet off the ground. Sander has classrooms and some offices.
