2 armed robbers get Popeye’s cash
YOUNGSTOWN — Two men wearing red bandannas over their faces and carrying black handguns stole an undisclosed amount of money from Popeye’s at 40 Midlothian Blvd. on Wednesday evening.
The store manager said she noticed one man outside the door of the store with a gun at about 7:20 p.m. Then two men entered the store. One came to the counter, pointed the gun at her and demanded money from the register. The other gunman stayed by the door, according to the police report.
The robber at the counter told the manager to open the safe, but when she said she did not have the keys, the two men fled on foot. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.
