Columbiana chamber sets awards banquet

COLUMBIANA — The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce will have its 55th annual awards banquet at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at The Links Banquet Center at Firestone Farms.

The 2007 honorees are Dr. James Garstick for outstanding community service; Pastor John Bartholomew for lifetime of service; and Roberta Myers for businessperson of the year. The event will include hors d’oeuvres, dinner and dessert, followed by the awards.

Entertainment will be provided by local performers Mary Jo Maluso and Rick Blackson.

Don Arthurs will also be giving a brief presentation on his experiences refurbishing the Main Street Theater.

The public is invited to attend. Tickets are $22.50 per person. A table of eight may be reserved for $160. Please call the chamber office at (330) 482-3822 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Reservations are required and must be received by noon Friday.
