Valentine’s Day party

YOUNGSTOWN — Eastwood Village, 1096 Eastway Drive, will host a free Valentine’s Day party from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday with the Associated Neighborhood Centers/McGuffey Centre at the village.

There will be snacks, beverages, gifts for children, crafts and a raffle give-away. Also available will be information and a sign up for McGuffey Centre after school programs.

Dinner is benefit
for MS patient

STRUTHERS — A spaghetti dinner and Chinese auction will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Feb. 23 at St. Nicholas Great Hall, 764 Fifth St., as a benefit for Andrea DeGennaro, a daughter of Anthony and Judy DeGennaro, who is suffering from multiple sclerosis.

The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 4 to 12. Those 3 and under eat free. Donations can be made to DeGennaro, in care of Christine Berry, Struthers Federal Credit Union. For additional information, call (330) 755-7953.

Organists to explore
Lutheran hymnals

CANFIELD — Youngstown Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 440 N. Broad St.

The program will be an exploration of the two new Lutheran hymnals. Presenters will be Tim Elder, music director at the church, and Linda Rein, director of music at Redeemer Lutheran Church. The public is welcome.

Pottery workshop set

VILLA MARIA, Pa. — Villa Maria Education and Spirituality will conduct a two-day workshop, “Botanical Pottery: Embellished Vase,” from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday and Feb. 23 at the Villa Maria Community Center.
