Beaver trustees hire part-time secretary

NORTH LIMA — Beaver Township trustees hired Kristin Yokum as the new secretary for the township fire department.

Yokum, a township resident, is to be paid $8.50 an hour working a maximum of 20 hours a week, with no benefits. She is also a firefighter and paramedic.

The trustees recently created the new secretarial position because of the increased workload at the fire department.

Also at their recent meeting the trustees agreed to sell two of the township’s older fire trucks to Unity Township for a $20,000. The price includes the two trucks and equipment on them.
