Bowling Green defeats Toledo; Buffalo edges E. Michigan by 4

BOWLING GREEN — Nate Miller scored 21 points and had 11 rebounds as Bowling Green rolled past Toledo, 69-58, Sunday.
Bowling Green (11-11, 6-4 Mid-American) led 35-23 at halftime, and increased their margin to 15 points early in the second half. The Falcons held on as Toledo (7-15, 4-6) could shoot just 32.4 percent in the final period.
Darryl Clements and Otis Polk each scored 12 points and Chris Knight grabbed 10 rebounds for Bowling Green.
Tyrone Kent scored 15 points and Jerrah Young had 14 for Toledo.
Bowling Green outrebounded Toledo 39-24 and shot 54.2 percent to the Rockets’ 35.2 percent for the game.
Buffalo 68, E. Michigan 64
AMHERST, N.Y. — Byron Mulkey’s basket with 48 seconds left in regulation keyed Buffalo’s win over Eastern Michigan.
Mulkey’s jumper, roughly a minute after Eastern Michigan’s Carlos Medlock sank a pair of free throws to tie the game at 64-64, gave Buffalo (8-14, 2-8 Mid-American Conference) its second straight win after nine straight losses.
Medlock had a chance to tie the score with 25 seconds left, but his jumper hit the rim. Mulkey, who grabbed the rebound and was fouled by Jarred Axon, sank both of his free throws to seal the win.
Jesse Bunkley led Eastern Michigan (8-14, 4-6 MAC) with 15 points and four rebounds.
