SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. — Maya Moore had 28 points and 14 rebounds, and No. 1 Connecticut routed Seton Hall 82-36 on Saturday to rebound from its first loss of the season.

Tina Charles added 18 points and six rebounds while Renee Montgomery hit three 3-pointers and finished with 17 points and five assists for UConn, which led by as many as 48 points in its first game since a hard-fought loss at seventh-ranked Rutgers on Tuesday.

Ebonie Williams was the only Seton Hall player in double figure scoring with 11.

UConn forced 26 turnovers, converting them into 36 points, and defeated the Pirates following a loss for the third straight year.

No. 5 Baylor 68, Texas Tech 45

WACO, Texas — Danielle Wilson scored 18 points, and Baylor extended its best start in school history.

Angela Tisdale added 14 points and Rachel Allison had 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Bears (21-2, 9-1 Big 12), who had their 13-game winning streak snapped against Oklahoma State on Tuesday.

Stanecia Graham had 11 points and 14 rebounds to lead Texas Tech (14-9, 2-7). Jordan Murphree added 10 points.

No. 9 California 53, Oregon 34

EUGENE, Ore. — Guard Alexis Gray-Lawson scored 16 points, center Devanei Hampton had 11 points and 11 rebounds and California won in Eugene for the first time since 1992-93.

Oregon’s 34 points tied its lowest point total in 30 years. The Ducks lost to Washington 51-34 in the 1977-78 season.

California (21-3, 12-1 Pacific-10 Conference), off to its best Pac-10 start ever, closed the first half on a 5-0 run to take a 23-19 lead.

Micaela Cocks had seven points to lead Oregon (10-14, 4-9).

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Olayinka Sanni scored 20 points, LaQuita Owens added 18 and West Virginia won its eighth consecutive game.

Chakika Cole and Sparkle Davis combined for five points in the last 32 seconds for the Mountaineers (19-3, 8-1 Big East).

Holmes scored a career-high 28 points for the Friars, who lost their fifth straight.

No. 18 Kansas St. 64, Kansas 58

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Marlies Gipson had 20 points and 14 rebounds, helping Kansas State overcome a ragged first half.

Kimberly Dietz scored 12 of her 15 points on 3-pointers in the first half and Ashley Sweat added 12 points for Kansas State (16-6, 8-1), off to its best Big 12 start since going 14-1 in 2002-03. Gipson also had four assists and blocked three shots.

Kansas State did its best to collapse on Kansas center Krysten Boogaard, but the 6-foot-5 freshman was just too much to handle down low. She finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds.

LaChelda Jacobs finished with 12 points and Danielle McCray added 11 for Kansas (13-9, 2-7), which has lost 13 of 14 against Kansas State.

No. 20 Utah 66, Air Force 49

SALT LAKE CITY — Leilani Mitchell had 19 points and 10 assists and Utah won its 15th straight game.

The Utes (20-3, 9-0 Mountain West) clinched their fifth straight 20-win season and became the first team in conference history to win 100 league games.

Jessica Perry scored 12 points and Morgan Warburton finished with 11 points for the Utes, who haven’t lost since Dec. 3.

Brooke Cultra led Air Force (7-14, 1-8) with 13 points and Raimee Beck scored 12.

No. 21 Texas A&M 66, Texas 57

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Danielle Gant scored 25 points, and No. 21 Texas A&M fought off Texas’ second-half for its fourth straight.

The loss is the third in a row for Texas (15-8, 3-6 Big 12) and drops its conference road mark to 0-4. Earnesia Williams led the Longhorns with 12 points, and Brittainey Raven and Ashley Lindsey added 10 apiece.

The Aggies (17-6, 5-4) led by as many as 19 points early in the second half before Longhorns made a run.
