Struthers ends MAC season with win

CAMPBELL — Ashley Galbraith scored 25 points and Halle Minchin-Skook added 17, leading Struthers High to a 68-39 victory over Campbell Memorial in a girls Metro Athletic Conference basketball game Saturday.

The Wildcats (14-6, 8-6 MAC) led 26-22 at halftime but outscored the Red Devils 18-5 in the third quarter.

Natetay Jones-Logan scored 12 points to lead Campbell (4-15, 2-12) and Danielle Bell added 11.

Swimming

Three swimmers from Cardinal Mooney qualified for the Northeast Ohio district meet at Cleveland State Feb. 15-16.

Morgan McCarty, a senior, qualified in girls Division II in the 100 breaststroke (1 minute, 11.10 seconds), and in the 50 freestyle (26.39).

Tom Boniface, a senior, also qualified in two events, the 100 freestyle (48.57) and 100 backstroke (55.05), and sophomore Nick Boniface qualified in the 100 backstroke (1:03.85).
