Book offers tips, tricks
for improved gardening
Roger Yepsen is sort of like that seasoned gardener next door who’s always sharing tips and tricks to make things grow better.
Yepsen and the editors of Organic Gardening magazine have compiled more than 400 clever ideas into “Newspaper, Pennies, Cardboard & Eggs for Growing a Better Garden.”
The book is filled with pointers, shortcuts and ingenious suggestions, such as using eggshells as biodegradable seed-starting pots, making homemade seed tapes, sharpening a hoe and even growing a better pumpkin.
The book is published by Rodale and sells for $17.95 in softcover.
