“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m. Sunday on WFMJ-TV 21; and 7 p.m. Wednesday on Time Warner Cable channel 15 in Trumbull County): Jim Fererro and Mike Bosela of Western Reserve Transit Authority join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the upcoming WRTA levy and the importance of its passing.
Next, Pat Jones and Pastor Rick Schumacher of the Unity Church of Girard will discuss the National Prayer Shawl Organization and its impact in the Valley. Prayer Shawls are created and crafted by members of the church and presented to families of fallen American soldiers and others who served the community and lost their lives.
Finally, Weed and Seed Coordinator Terri Bryant and Heartreach Ministries Pastor Tarone Claybrooke will discuss the first Criminal Justice Fair that will take place in Youngstown. The fair will give youth and the community in general an opportunity to interact one on one with police officials to reduce crime and violence.
