Applications available for festival art show

YOUNGSTOWN — The 10th Annual Summer Festival of the Arts is accepting artist applications for the 2008 festival set for July 12-13 at Youngstown State University.

Artists are encouraged to apply by the April 4 early deadline. Entries will be accepted in the categories of two-dimensional fine arts, three-dimensional fine arts and fine crafts. Each application must be accompanied by the $20 jury fee. If accepted, the booth fee is $100.

“The Summer Festival of the Arts has welcomed a variety of artists throughout the years,” said Lori Factor, festival coordinator. “The jury process ensures a quality event with some of the finest artwork in the area made available to our patrons. We have become a destination event for local, regional and national artists to promote and sell their artwork. Patrons have come to expect a great selection of art year after year and artists continually compliment this area’s hospitality.”
