COLUMBIANA — Carryout orders of homemade chili will be sold from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 15 at First Presbyterian Church, 28 E. Park Ave. The sale date was wrong in the Wednesday food column. Containers will be provided, and the cost is $5 a quart. Cornmeal muffins will be three for $1, and a slice of pie will be $1.25. To place an order, call the church at (330) 482-2666.

Liberty Relay for Life
plans ‘Taste for a Cure’

YOUNGSTOWN — Station Square Ristorante and Weather Tite Windows have teamed up to sponsor the Liberty Relay for Life event, “A Taste for a Cure.” and invite the public.

The fundraiser will take place from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at Station Square, 4250 Belmont Ave., and will offer a variety of all-you-can-eat pastas. Salad, bread, beverage and dessert are included, and a full cash bar will be available. Takeouts are encouraged.

The cost is $12 for adults, $7 for children 12 and under and free for kids 3 and under.

prepares for ‘Spring Fling’

BOARDMAN — Welcome Wagon of Canfield will present its “Spring Fling” from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. March 7 at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8678 Market St. Featured will be live, silent and Chinese auctions, a cash bar, a buffet dinner, and dancing to the music of the Classic Cruisers.

Souper Artists’ dinner
at Bessemer school

BESSEMER, Pa. — The A.R.T.S. Club of Mohawk Junior and Senior High School will hold its fourth annual Souper Artists’ dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. March 6 at the high school cafeteria. Proceeds will benefit Project HOPE and families within the district.

The theme for the event is Chinese New Year. For $5, patrons will receive a one-of-a-kind student-made bowl, choy suey, rice, tea, a fortune cookie, chop sticks and an orange slice. A dragon dance will be presented hourly, and there will be an auction of baskets and Chinese commodities.
