Town Hall meeting at Jewish center

YOUNGSTOWN — A Town Hall meeting that will focus on judicial independence will be held Feb. 25 at the Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane.

The free public event is being sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Trumbull County and Greater Youngstown, Trumbull and Mahoning County bar associations, Kent State University Trumbull Campus, Youngstown State University and the Community Mobilization Committee.

Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the program is scheduled from 7 to 9. During the evening Miriam Fife, victim rights advocate for Trumbull County, and the Raymond John Wean Foundation will be honored for their community involvement. The League of Women Voters of Trumbull County will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 20 in the community room at Howland Library.
